Community Guidelines
Every ChatMet conversation is two people who have just met. These guidelines exist so both of them leave the chat feeling fine about it, whether they were on camera, on the mic or typing.
Be the person you would want to meet
Say hello, be curious, accept a short answer as a signal. You are welcome to leave any chat for any reason, and so is the other person. Nobody owes anyone a conversation.
Not allowed, ever
- Nudity, sexual acts or sexual requests.
- Harassment, threats, slurs, hate speech or bullying.
- Anyone under 18, or content involving minors in any way.
- Scams: requests for money, gift cards, crypto, codes, passwords or personal documents.
- Recording or sharing someone without consent.
- Violence, self-harm encouragement, or illegal activity.
- Spam, advertising, bots and fake accounts.
Protect each other's privacy
Do not ask for someone's address, workplace, school or financial details, and do not share your own early on. If someone pushes for personal information, that is a reason to end the chat and report.
How to report
Hit report inside the conversation. A human moderator receives it along with the context. You can also block the person so you are never matched again. For anything that needs more explanation, email us afterwards.
What happens next
Moderators read reports and can issue warnings, suspensions or permanent bans. The gravest cases, like anything touching on minors or believable threats of violence, can be referred to police or other authorities.
